Shu (周 Shū?) is an Upper S Class demon and a former friend of Toshin Raizen. After Raizen's death, he allied with Yusuke Urameshi and participated in the Demon World Tournament.
Appearance[]
Shu is actually a small, but strong S-Class demon with silver skin, pointy ears, long combed back hair, black Pants, a belt and two three-webbed feet with claws.
Personality[]
It is unknown what his personality is like. However, it can be assumed that he is honorable and loves fighting based on the fact that he was one of Raizen's old friends. He also seems to have a rivalry with Souketsu, another one of Raizen's old friends.
Synopsis[]
Three Kings Saga[]
After the death of Raizen and the announcement of the Demon World Tournament, Shu visits Raizen's grave along with the rest of Raizen's old friends, and is shown to be sad about his passing. After this, Enki revealed that they all came out of seclusion in order to participate in the upcoming tournament, all vowing to make the tournament so brutal and tough that Raizen would roll over in his grave in a jealous rage. In a show of power, Enki and the others simultaneously powered up their energy, creating a spectacle so visible that it could be seen in Yomi and Mukuro's kingdoms.

All Raizen's Friends gathered for the Demon World Tournament.
He then entered the Demon World Tournament and was matched up against a demon named Urara in the first round of the A block, and got into a heated battle with Souketsu sometime afterwards with an unknown outcome.
Powers and Abilities[]
Though not much of Shu was shown, he is one of the strongest demons in Demon World. He is an Upper S Class demon. He also seems to be on par with Souketsu in terms of fighting ability.
Abilities[]
- Energy Concealment: It is the ability to control and reduce the latent energy of a user, which can be attained after intense training, seclusion and if the user is an adept martial artist. Shu proved to have great power within himself when he and Raizen's Friends released their true powers, thus proving their excitement to enter the Demon World Tournament.
- Flight: A special ability where the user manipulates their Energy so that they can levitate or fly.
- Superhuman Strength: Shu possesses superhuman strength of a high caliber.
Trivia[]
- Despite not having met or spoken with Yusuke at all, Shu was a part of Yusuke's Alliance and he was on Yusuke's side all the way.
- Shu's voice was deepened from the original recordings in the first Funimation English dub, but the Blu-ray remaster plays his voice at its standard pitch.
