The Proof is the twenty-sixth episode of season 3 of YuYu Hakusho. It aired on July 30, 1994 in Japan and November 12, 2005 in the United States.

Short Summary

A newly-revived Yusuke resumes his battle with Sensui. Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, and Koenma watch as Yusuke collides with Sensui, demon energy versus sacred energy. Nonetheless, Yusuke's body is taken over by a mysterious force, fully awakening his demon side.

Anime Notes

• From this episode onwards, the main characters (except Kuwabara) have the capability of using Flight. Within the strange plateau region, Yusuke vs. Sensui's battle has some similarities to a Dragon Ball battle. With a twist, of course.
• Differences with the manga: The manga does not include Sensui's internal conversation between his various personalities, and Yusuke doesn't bring up his dissociative identity disorder.
• Almost everything else in Demon World plays out pretty similarly to the episode, with the added bonus of Hiei dozing off at some point around the change of venue because of using his Dragon Absorption against Sensui earlier.
• Apart from the scene with the SDF freaking out because they never knew about S Class demons — it was classified information, after all — the manga doesn't cut away from Yusuke and Sensui in Demon World at all, which means no other secondary characters.
