Short Summary[]
As Team Urameshi mourns Genkai's passing, they prepare for the final match against Team Toguro.
Detailed Summary[]
Shortly before the final round of the Dark Tournament, Yusuke's mentor Genkai was killed, leaving him with all of the Spirit Power she possessed. Since then, Yusuke and his crew have been rigorously training for the upcoming battle. Suzuki, a member of the recently beaten Team Uraotogi, has helped by offering two very powerful, yet unstable weapons to Kurama and Kuwabara, hoping that Team Toguro will finally taste defeat.
With one more day before the finals, the committee members encouraged Sakyo in using the winning money for their organization to propel them to huge heights. However, Sakyo reveals his master plan to them, revealing to use the money in building a giant tunnel between the human and demon worlds. He also reveals the wealth was in the bets for Toguro that no one would bet against him, unless Urameshi as a wild card beats him. The committee, stunned about Yusuke, believed Sakyo helped him from the very beginning before the tournament started. But Sakyo had no part in Yusuke's progress. The committee members were furious after hearing that Butajiri and Tarukane's "untimely deaths" were at the hands of Sakyo, they consequently unleash their demons to end the traitor's life, but Toguro appears in the office and kills both the committee members and the demons.

Anime Notes[]
- Suzuki's dialogue is redubbed in the Blu-ray English version including returning his name to its original after the previous release had renamed him "Suzuka". Strangely, his dialogue at the end of the episode upon seeing Yusuke's Spirit Gun is retained from the original dub. The bit where he talks in the flashback "You remember, Kuwabara; The Beautiful Suzuka?" is expunged in the former release leaving it silent. Suzuki mentioning Ura Urashima in the original dub had him refer to the latter by his first name but the Blu-ray changes this to him mentioning him by his full name. The bits where Kuwabara mentions his name are redubbed as well.
- This episode marks the deaths of Nurukawa and the rest of the Dark Tournament Committee. It is unknown what became of the other Black Black Club members who are not present for this scene such as Mitsui and Sukezo Gondawara.
