Dosukoi (弩洲濃 Dosukoi?) was a member of Team Spirit Warriors who fought in the first round of the Dark Tournament. He met his match in Younger Toguro who quickly killed him and his entire team at only 45% full power.
Appearance[]
Dosukoi, true to his namesake, was a demon who had the form of a sumo wrestler with his only item of clothing being a red sumo sash. Like the majority of the Spirit Warriors, Dosukoi was abnormally large, even dwarfing Younger Toguro in stature. He had lighter brown hair worn in a chonmage (a masculine type of topknot worn by men of the Edō Period). Unlike the other warriors, Dosukoi does not carry a weapon of any kind. His appearance is far less distinct in the manga with a rounder facial structure, prominent lips, and a rigid brow line.
Personality[]
The anime shows Dosukoi as a prideful fighter who is confident in his own abilities and, to a lesser extent, his team's. Unlike the majority of the Spirit Warriors' reactions (confusion for Babaki and snickering disbelief with Gorilla and Gagaki), Dosukoi responds with outrage at Younger Toguro's confidence in taking them on single-handedly and is the first to rush him. His belligerent nature blinded him to Toguro's true strength and thus was the first of his team to meet his end.
Synopsis[]
Dark Tournament Saga[]
Team Spirit Warriors was put up against Team Toguro in the Dark Tournament's first round with only Younger Toguro appearing to fight the match. Dosukoi and the majority of his team thought Toguro was mocking them when the latter voluntarily stepped forward to battle all five demons himself, let alone at the same time. When Dosukoi angrily pointed out that Toguro was being foolish for underestimating his team, Toguro merely replied "You have size, and that is all."
In the anime, Dosukoi was the first to attempt an attack on Toguro with his "Hundred Hands Fist" after sizing up his opponent with the traditional "Dosukoi!" proclamation. Toguro then powered up to 45% of his strength and evaded Dosukoi's strikes, blowing a hole through his torso thus killing him. His death in the manga was unceremonious with Toguro blowing a hole through him at the same time he decapitates Gorilla.

Trivia[]
- Dosukoi's name is an exclamation that nearly all sumo wrestlers make when readying themselves for a fight. Dosukoi himself even says it twice when preparing his charge on Younger Toguro.
- Younger Toguro addresses Dosukoi as "Sekitori-san" in Japanese. Sekitori are sumo wrestlers who are ranked first in one of two professional divisions, makuuchi and jūryō, of which very few ever achieve.
- Dosukoi bears a resemblance to E. Honda from the Street Fighter series and they both have an attack with a similar style: the "Hundred Hands Slap".
- Dosukoi has the majority of dialogue for his team during their match with Younger Toguro in the anime adaptation, outside of his leader Topaz and fellow warrior Rugby. He had no dialogue in the manga.
- Dosukoi is the first of Team Spirit Warriors to die in the anime, while in the manga he is the fourth (Babaki is the first in the manga).
