The Dreadful 80% Power!! (恐怖の80％!!, Kyōfu no 80%!!) is the 90th chapter of the YuYu Hakusho manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Summary[]
Toguro says that 45% is not enough to help him recover from Genkai's Spirit Gun and proceeds to power up to 80%. His arm regrows and the rest of his body begins to transform with his muscles getting larger and he even grows shoulder pads.
Elsewhere, Hiei senses this transformation and wonders where the force could be coming from. Yusuke keeps on heading towards the site of the battle as Toguro finishes powering up. Toguro tells Genkai that only four people have ever survived his power at 80%, Elder Toguro, Bui, Karasu and herself. He pulls his hand backwards and tells Genkai that she will no longer be among that number. Slingshotting his hand forward, Toguro creates a strong air pressure that goes straight at Genkai who is shocked but manages to dodge unharmed.
Wasting no time, Toguro already lunged forward when he launched his attack and closes in on Genkai. He revels in his strength and gloats about how just the pressure from his finger was a weapon as he punches straight into the ground, making a crater. Genkai continues to dodge and lets off another Spirit Gun, however, this time Toguro merely catches it and destroys it in the grip of his hand.
Disappointed at seeing the limits of Genkai's power, Toguro stops attacking and wistfully says that he should have killed Genkai when she younger and at her peak instead of waiting until she was old and feeble. He says that she is no longer Genkai but just a bag of bones. Enraged at his words, Genkai tells him that she is still the same person she always has been and that he would not be the one to kill her.
Toguro rebuffs this statement and says that she will die, preparing to attack once more. Genkai wishes for more power, but a power that is different from Toguro's so that she is able to die well. She channels the last bit of her strength and for a moment looks like her younger self before Toguro lands his hit. Yusuke arrives the scene and looks on in horror as Toguro walks away from Genkai's body, telling him that he is late.
