A 50-Year Reunion!! (50年ぶりの再会!!, 50-Nen-buri no saikai!!) is the 89th chapter of the YuYu Hakusho manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Summary

Team Toguro advances to the finals and Kurama makes his way out of the stands. A part of the audience notices his presence and loudly sneer at him, saying that Team Toguro's victory in the finals is all but assured.

Kurama ignores them and pushes forward, only to find Bui and Karasu waiting for him in a corridor. They taunt him and say that his entire team will be dead by the end of the tournament. Suddenly, Karasu moves behind Kurama and puts his hands near his neck, to show off his strength and intimidate Kurama. Leaving the threat in the air, Karasu moves back to Bui's side as quickly as he came and proceeds to leave alongside his companion, telling Kurama that he is his favourite member of the four.

Elsewhere, Toguro speaks with Genkai and laments over how her age has gotten to her. She bites back at him, saying he is still the same even after 50 years. Genkai goes on to reveal that she has already passed on her powers to Yusuke. Toguro merely grins and gets ready to fight her, finding her pitiable in her old age, saying he would no longer need to suffer her presence.

As Toguro prepares to attack, Genkai thinks back to their younger days when they fought together on the same side. One day he had confided in her of his fear that one day when someone stronger than them appeared then he would be past his prime due to age.

Snapping back to reality, Genkai prepares to fight as well telling Toguro that she cannot stand the presence of someone who sold his soul to the devil, before noting that she can only use her Spirit Gun 3 more times.

Meanwhile, Yusuke senses Toguro's powerup and runs off to find him leaving Kuwabara behind. Bui and Karasu also sense the powerup and note that the battle is about to begin. Back at the battle, Toguro lunges forward to attack Genkai, who leaps away and hits him back with a Spirit Gun.

She manages to cleave off most of Toguro's left bicep but not enough to tear off his arm. Toguro had also managed to get a hit in despite Genkai's dodge and watches some of her blood drip off his finger. Toguro asks Genkai if she would like for him to pull out her heart and lauds her for having gotten better at such fights before getting ready to resume the battle as Genkai looks on and notes to herself that she only has 2 Spirit Guns left.
