The Black Black Club assembled

The Black Black Club (ブラック・ブラック・クラブ, Burakku Burakku Kurabu) was a criminal syndicate comprised of a group of the wealthiest mob bosses who got together to do major high-stakes bets. In the manga and the Viz translation, it is called the Black Book Club (ブラック・ブック・クラブ, Burakku Bukku Kurabu), the latter likely due to the "Engrish" nature of their original name.

History[]

The Black Black Club, from its early days, started off as a group who monopolized the power of eight psychics in order to maintain the existence of a small portal which led to Demon World. This was done as a means to capture, enslave, torture and sell lower class and peaceful demons at enormous prices. The club established a black market industry, using demon bodyguards for corporate crooks (as was the case with the Toguro Brothers for example), and accumulating massive amounts of money through underground slave trade. This slave movement was founded by Sakyo, a new and upcoming member of the club who used his skill at capturing demons. The club would enjoy watching blood being spilled and observe innocent demons dying horrible deaths in a display of depraved extravagance known as the Feast of Human Vices. Their sadistic indulgences are what caused then Spirit Detective Shinobu Sensui to descend into insanity, and kill everyone present at the feast, other than seven absent ones including Sakyo, who had just left. Despite their extreme cruelty, even they were disgusted by Sakyo's plan to open a Makai tunnel which would decimate the entire planet. They attempted to kill Sakyo but were swiftly eliminated by Younger Toguro. However, not all members were present when they were killed (like Gondawara and the bald bearded one).

Members[]

Unnamed Members[]

  • The bald bearded member
  • The bespectacled member

Trivia[]

  • It is stated in the English dub that this secretive society was founded by Gonzo Tarukane.
  • It is possible that the club was completely wiped out. While only the loss of over seven members and therefore their wealth and resources is shown, it is likely that Sakyo killed the other members to tie up loose ends, as the club never appears again in both the anime and manga aside from flashbacks.
